Annapurna Trekking

The Annapurna trek is an extraordinary trek and is one of the world’s best in terms of culture and environmental diversity. The Annapurna Circuit trek is characterised by dramatic changes in landscape, culture and climate. In the centre of the Annapurna Circuit is Tilicho Lake, surrounded by beautiful snowy peaks. This region is widely known as a naturalist's heaven and is home to rare species, such as snow leopards and a multitude of bird and plant species.

ITINERARY

Day 01:

Kathmandu - Rafting in Trishuli River – National Park [B, L, D]

After breakfast, we drive for approximately 2 1/2 hours to Fisling, the starting point of the rafting. After rafting we drive towards the Chitwan National Park. Naturalist will explain about jungle wildlife activities. Overnight stay at lodge/camp

Day 02:

Royal Chitwan National Park [B, L, D]

Early morning you will be going into deep jungle on elephant back or four-wheel drive vehicle to view wild animals in their natural habitat. Other thrills are canoe rides on the jungle rivers, nature walks, bird watching excursions, Tharu dance and village tours. Overnight stay at lodge/camp

Day 03:

Chitwan Wildlife – Pokhara - Annapurna Trek [B, L, D]

In the morning drive to Pokhara, an enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley. This trek offers a variety of scenes of the mountains. Due to the incredible altitudinal range and unusual geographical and climatic mix, walking in this area is a naturalist's dream. The trails pass through bustling villages, and trekkers will encounter local people at their daily chores – farmers plowing their fields, women fetching water. On the final day we travel back to Pokhara. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 04:

Pokhara – Kathmandu [B]

After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at hotel.

7 DAYS ANNAPURNA TREKKING

ITINERARY

Day 01:

Kathmandu to Pokhara - 910m/2986ft

Our Trekking guide will come to the hotel at 6:30 am to pick you up. You will take a 10 minute drive to the bus station. Our bus leaves at 7 am headed for Pokhara. We drive to Pokhara by tourist bus, enjoying an afternoon sightseeing on the lakeside and boating at Phewa lake. From Kathmandu to Pokhara, it is about 206km and takes around 6 hours. O/N at hotel

Day 02:

Drive to Naya Pul (New bridge), and trek to Tikhe Dhunga - 1495m/4905ft

Breakfast. After an hour’s drive to Naya Pul we then commence our trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town beside the Modi River. We head up the main trail to Sudami where we climb gradually up the side of the valley, reaching Hile (1495m) before pushing on to Tirkhe Dhunga. From here the trail crosses a stream and then ascends a steep stone staircase to the large Magar village at Ulleri (2070m). 3:30 hours

Day 03:

Trek to Ghorepani - 2850m/9350ft

This is a day of easy walking. We trek through rhododendron and oak forests and across streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti. From Nangethanti we head up to Ghorepani (2850m). 5:30 hours. O/N at Sunny Lodge or Poonhill guest house

Day 04:

Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani - 2520m/8268ft

An early start and an hour hiking to Poon Hill (3195m) leads us to an amazing, unobstructed view of the sunrise over the Himalayas. After spending about 40 minutes on the hillside we return to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and start walking to Tadapani. From Ghorepani the trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960m). We descend to reach Banthanti, before winding our way to Tadapani (2540m). 6 hours. O/N at Hotel Panorama or Hotel Grand View

Day 05:

Tadapani to Ghaundrung - 1950m/6398ft

Our descent brings us to the village of Ghaundrung around noon. We will stay overnight here and spend the afternoon visiting the Annapurna conservation office and museum. 2:30 hours

Day 06:

Ghaundrung to Pokhara via Pothana - 1910m/6266ft and Phedi - 910m/2986ft

Our last two days of trekking take us through the village of Pothana (2110m) before reaching Phedi (950m). On arrival in Phedi (mid morning) our bus meets us before driving to Pokhara where our trek ends. 5:30 hours

Day 07:

Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Breakfast. We drive to airport. It is about 4km away from the hotel and takes 5 minutes. The plane takes 25 minutes to get to Kathmandu and then we drive to your hotel. The tour will end on arrival in Kathmandu

11 Days Trekking Annaparna Base Camp

ITINERARY

Day 01:

Kathmandu to Pokhara:

Drive in to Pokhara. 200km and 6 hours bus drive. Prepare for trekking - O/N at lodge in Pokhara

Day 02:

Pokhara to Ulleri - 1685m

About a 45 km drive from Pokhara via Naudanda, Kanre, and Lumle village up to Nayapool from where the trail descends steeply to Birethanthi and follows the east bank of Bhurungdi Khola, Tikhedunga and finally reaches Ulleri

Day 03:

Ulleri to Ghorepani - 1855m

The trail ascends to small villages providing a pleasant walk through rhododendron forest, eventually arriving at the top of Ghorepani - O/N at Lodge

Day 04:

Ghorepani to Tadapani - 2680m

Early in the morning trek to Poonhill to witness the beautiful sunrise. From Poonhill one can view over 30 white-capped peaks - the whole Annapurna range. Many people talk about having a life changing experience after watching the sunrise over the panorama of the Himalayas. Next will be a walk through the forest filled with flowers (in the spring) and an overnight stay at Tadapani

Day 05:

Tadapani via Chhomrong to Sinuwa

Tadapani offers good views of upper Modi valley. The route starts at the long ascents high above the West Bank of Modi Khola. From Sinuwa you will have very nice views of Mt. Machhapuchere

Day 06:

Sinuwa to Deurali Hotel – 3000m

The trail continues to Khuldi Ghar for about one hour and fifteen minutes and from there descends steeply to a bank of rock and then levels out, running through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. Overnight stay in Deurali

Day 07:

Deurali to ABC – 4130m

From Deurali the trail crosses two wide avalanche tracks on a narrow trail that huddles up against the cliff (rock face). The trail then descends to meet the Modi Khola and follows the river to Bagar. From Bagar we will climb across more avalanche paths, cross a moraine and a stream, then climb towards an area known as Machhapuchhere Base Camp (MBC) at the elevation 3700m. After 2 hours journey, we finally reach our destination (ABC). O/N at lodge and stay here for sun set and sun rise

Day 08:

ABC to and back Sinuwa

We see the morning sun rise and take our breakfast at 7.00 am reaching the Himalayas for lunch. Finally, we travel back to Sinuwa on the same trail and stay overnight

Day 09:

Sinuwa to Kyumi

We follow the same trail up to Chhomrong and the trail descends to Jhinu. We visit the hot spring and take our lunch there. After lunch we start our journey again, pass the beautiful rift valley and finally reach Kyumi and stay overnight

Day 10:

Pokhara to Kathmandu by Bus

Day 11:

Pokhara to Kathmandu by Bus
