In Kathmandu

On arrival in Kathmandu you will spend one night getting use to the culture shock of life in Nepal. On your second day in Kathmandu you will begin your training program. This includes;
  • Nepali Language Three hours of Nepali language classes each day according to the length of your placement. In these classes you will be taught the basic language skills you will need to communicate in a general way with your host family. We will give you a Nepali language booklet and you can take your own notes and continue your studies in your free time while you are on placement.

  • Cultural Training We will provide a basic understanding of the eccentricities of Nepali cultural habits and traditions to make your transition into your placement smoother.

  • Teacher Training For those undertaking English teaching placements, we will give you some ideas about lesson plans, games and activities to use in the classroom while you are on placement.
